Two co-founders. Three continents. One mission.
Kassym and Daniil started Squares in 2021 because they couldn't find a transparent way to book beautiful venues in their own cities. Four years later, they are Forbes Kazakhstan 30 Under 30 alumni and run the company between Almaty, Da Nang and Austin.
Kassym leads strategy, operations and partnerships at Squares. He scaled the company from a single Almaty list to 2,000+ vetted venues across Kazakhstan and Georgia, and is now opening Central Asia's neighbouring markets.
Daniil owns marketing and product. The original Squares idea came to him in his previous job at a marketing agency, where finding the right photo-shoot studio was a constant struggle. He now leads expansion into Vietnam and Texas.
"Forbes Kazakhstan 30 Under 30 alumni Kassym Kabylgali and Daniil Matskevich created a sharing-economy startup, Squares, in 2021. The Almaty-based company lists venues available to rent — whether for corporate gatherings, weddings or coworking — plus offers related services such as catering and design at some 2,000 locations in 10 cities across Kazakhstan and Georgia. Up next: locations in Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Texas."
